Kiss the Cook

For Christmas last year, the girls in my family did an apron exchange. We each drew a name and then made an apron for that person. The only rule was to make a full apron (Libby wasn't technically part of the exchange so I made her a half apron), everything else was up to the seamstress. I couldn't believe how well each apron matched the person they were made for. (Or to be grammatically correct - the person for whom the apron was made. Is it worse to be grammatically incorrect or sound pompous?)

Because of the chaos in my life, I didn't actually get mine finished until March. But the timing was perfect since my sister was in Utah for a wedding and we could take these adorable pictures. In the first one we are wearing the apron we received, in the 2nd we are wearing the apron we made.

This Christmas we are doing bags. I guess I better learn how to sew more than a straight line!

  1. What a great idea! Love it. I think we might need to do that for Christmas this year, I definitely need a new apron.
