This is a wall hanging I recently finished. My friend Trieste suggested making something as a way to channel my grief creatively after Matthew died. I used a log cabin pattern to symbolize the good and bad times in life and green fabrics to represent the March and August birthstones, both shades of green and the months of Matthew’s death and due date. It was my first quilting project and it has plenty of mistakes and problems, but I still like it!
