Rome (Day 3)

It was another rainy day in Rome so we decided we should try and do as much as we could indoors.  We spent the morning at the Capitoline Museum (Musei Capitolini).  It was a really nice museum and a good way to spend a rainy day.

Just walking by some Roman ruins on the way
to the museum, no big deal.

The Capitoline Wolf

View of the Forum from the Capitoline Museum.

The Capitoline Venus and Luke.
The museum had a large section about Archimedes.  It was one of my favorite parts of the museum.  They had models of different inventions like the Archimedes Screw, The Claw of Archimedes, and the branch with singing birds.

"Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum
on which to place it, and I shall move the world."

I love that Luke always had to have a pad of
paper and pencil with him so he could draw.
Sometimes he drew something from the museum
sometimes he drew other random things.
When we left the museum it was still raining so we sought shelter in a nearby church.

This is the only picture at the church not too dark to post.

No idea what Luke is doing.

Another rainy walk home.
