This year the kids decided to do a Phineas and Ferb Halloween. If you don't know Phineas and Ferb you either don't have kids or live under a rock. It is a very clever cartoon that doesn't make me want to jab my eyes out like many of the other shows my kids like to watch.
Unfortunately, things didn't go exactly as planned and I never got a picture of Candace, Ferb and Perry together. They were all dressed up (including dyed red hair) for our church party, but Chris was stuck in an airport in VA with the camera and so no pictures. I did get some quick shots of Isaac and Libby separately during their school parade, but admittedly they look like kids whose mom forgot to get them a costume and just sprayed their hair on the way out the door.

Halloween night we had a huge storm and were not even sure we would get to do trick or treating. It was still sprinkling when the kids went out, so I decided no hair dye (which by the way, I will never use again - it got everywhere) and so Libby used my wig for a revised Candace and Isaac went as an mad scientist. Luke was still a very cute Perry the platypus (he's got more than just mad skills, he's got a beaver tail and a bill...).
Chris and I actually dressed up this year and went to a grown-up dinner party that was a lot of fun.
I have to say, I was glad when the week was over and we could shift our focus to an easier and more gluttonous holiday.

I absolutely love that they wanted to do the Phineas and Ferb thing! I too was so glad when Halloween was over. Except for the dinner party, I wanted it to be over about two weeks into October!
ReplyDeleteGreat Halloween! I am a huge fan of costumes that are barely costumes. Right?
ReplyDeleteHave a great Thanksgiving.
