The Jardin des Plantes is one of the more kid friendly areas of Paris. There are gardens, museums, and a zoo (which we didn't go to based on Rick Steve's lukewarm description). We went to the Galerie d'Anatomic Comparee et de Paleontologie. It was full of interesting skeletons and body parts (hearts, brains, livers, etc.) from all sorts of animals, including dinosaurs.
