One great thing about being in Paris for three months is that we have time to see lots of things and then go back and see them again. This week we've gone back to do some repeat sight seeing.
The Petit Palais is a free City of Paris Fine Arts Museum. We've been once before but only had time to go through one section. This week we were able to explore a little more.

I've thought a lot about this sculpture of Adam and Eve
with Abel since we first saw it. I like it even more after seeing it a second time. |

The way this little boy is sleeping reminds me of Luke.
We see the Eiffel Tower nearly every day but we've never been to the other side, the Trocadero. It was a great place to get some touristy Eiffel Tower pictures.

We're guessing this was a sight seeing helicopter tour.

Here comes Luke.
Now for the most touristy shots.
Today we visited Saint-Etienne-du-Mont, a church across from the Pantheon that contains the shrine of St. Genevieve, the patron saint of Paris. We've been in this neighborhood a couple of times but never to the church. The steps out front are featured in the Woody Allen movie
Midnight in Paris.

St Genevieve's tomb relic.
And since we were in the neighborhood we had to spend some time at the Luxembourg gardens.

On the way home we ate dinner at a fun little creperie where you get a savory crepe and a sweet crepe for 5 euros. We didn't take any pictures, but it was delicious.
Christmas card photo!!!!! Awesome family picture. You need to frame it. I also love the First Funeral sculpture ever since you posted it the first time. There is something so beautiful and sad about it. The first couple to ever experience losing a child and at the hands of another child no less.
ReplyDeleteOn a less serious note, space invader! So exciting.
