Sunday Mass

Today we attended mass at St. Sulpice church.   We chose St. Sulpice because they have magnificent organ prelude and postlude.  Going to mass is a one of Chris's favorite activities when he is in Paris.  I've been to mass a few times and I have always enjoyed it.  It was little harder to follow in French, although they had the readings written in English, which was helpful.

Before the service started Isaac was asked to help pass the collection plate.  At least that's what we think he was asked.  Chris was at the other end of the row and couldn't hear over the organ music.  In his best French, Isaac asked the man if he spoke English (parlez-vous anglais), but he didn't and continued to speak French.  Chris leaned over and said il ne parle pas francais (he doesn't speak French).  Later we saw other kids being asked to pass the collection plate.  Poor Isaac has been trying to communicate on his own to no avail.
