Walk # 6 Marcher le nez au vent

Today we did Paris Walk #6 Marcher le nez au vent (something like walk with your nose to the wind).  It apparently started in the smelliest metro station in Paris.  How can you judge that?  They all smell pretty much the same: gross.  It ended at the Fragonard Musee du Parfum (perfume museum).  In between we went to the Madeleine church and Laduree, the birthplace of the macaron.

Exterior of the Madeleine Church.  It has really unusual architecture.
The doors were amazing.
They depict an allegory of the Ten Commandments.

Now on to Laduree.  We decided to try a variety of smaller macarons.  Some of the unusual flavors included rose, licorice, orange blossom and blue mint.  We tried rose, pistachio, cafe, chocolate, carmel, coconut, and raspberry.

Other yummy treats.

The Fragonard Musee du Parfum is a small museum showing the history of perfume making specifically for the Fragonard brand.  In the gift shop you get paper strips sprayed with the different perfumes while the staff explains the scent; fruity, citrusy, musky, for women only, unisex, tobacco and wood scented (Chris claims to have really liked that one).

Trying to guess the scents.

The woman at the shop told us that Canadian girls love this scent nicknamed Justin Bieber.  It was very berry-like.

The French version of baby monkey riding on a pig?
